Youth Activity Volunteer
Area: Various across the UK
We are looking for people who may be interested in volunteering at our Whizz Kidz Activity Days. As a Youth Activity Volunteer, you would be supporting young wheelchair users aged 8 to 25 in a range of activities, to help them learn new skills, make new friends, and most importantly, have fun! These events usually take place on a weekend or half term holiday and are hosted throughout the UK.
Young People's Services Admin
Area: Remote Opportunity
We are looking for people who may be interested in volunteering with our Young People’s Services (YPS) Team. As a YPS Admin Volunteer, you would be supporting colleagues with researching and booking activities and events for children, young people and their families. You will need to have good organisational skills with the ability to communicate with a range of audiences. You may be liaising with our young people and families as well as venues, schools, content providers and other third party organisations.
Wheelchair Skills Training
Area: Opportunities across the UK
We are looking for wheelchair users to support us in delivering our wheelchair skills training sessions in England, Scotland and Wales. In addition to promoting independence in young wheelchair users, our wheelchair skills training sessions aim to enable young wheelchair users to have confidence in their ability to use their wheelchairs, teach them new skills they can use in their everyday lives, give them the confidence to ask for support when it is needed and reduce social isolation.
